Convenient Columbus location.
Within easy reach of the university campus, and mere seconds from the highway, guests who are in town for a sporting event, a university visit, or who are just passing through the area all find this a convenient place to stay. Plus, there's plentiful free parking so you won't be stuck for a space.
positive:
Friendly, welcoming staff.
The staff seem to offer a friendly welcome here, and while you'll be given all the privacy you need once you've checked in, guests say that the staff at the front desk are always ready to greet you with a smile, offer local area information, or sort out any issues you have encountered.
positive:
Budget-friendly hotel.
If you're just staying overnight and need somewhere to crash, then you'll be hard-pressed to find a better deal than this. It may not have a whole lot of frills, but overall, guests say that the beds are comfy, so you should get a decent night's sleep, and it won't leave you out of pocket.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The karaoke continues till late.
If you're a karaoke fan, then you'll probably love the sports bar's evening entertainment. If you're trying to get some shut-eye, however, you might be less well-disposed to the merry revelry and loud, out-of-key singing which can sometimes go on well into the night. Ear-plugs are recommended.
negative:
Stale smoke smells.
Even in the rooms which have been designated as non-smoking, many guests complain that they still smell strongly of cigarette smoke. The communal areas are no different, so if you're not a smoker, you may find the smell of the place pretty off-putting - it really needs a deep clean.
negative:
Cleanliness and Age Comments
This aging hotel definitely has its share of old-age problems, with guests complaining about cranky air con units, broken door locks, or water pressure issues in the bathrooms. It seems that cleaning is also rather cursory, with some guests reporting stained sheets and dirty carpets.
