Conveniently located
This hotel is located close to all the best attractions of Chattanooga. Downtown is just a few exits on the interstate and guests won't have to pay those higher city rates. It's a quick on and off the highway and the mountain tourist attractions are close. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants near the hotel, everything from fast-food and casual to sit-down and filling.
positive:
A good family choice
This hotel is a good choice for families. The rooms are clean and quiet, even though they are near a busy tourist area. The hot breakfast buffet offers many choices and the outdoor pool is sure to appeal to the smallest of guests.
positive:
Service-oriented staff
The staff here understands that most of their business is of the overnight traveler variety and they work hard to provide those features and amenities that those guests want. Reception is friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Their helpful attitude makes guests feel welcomed and valued.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Older in many ways
This is an older hotel. The name and brand changes, though, haven't really changed much for the guests. The decor, furniture, and fixtures look dated and generic, as though they are stuck in time and could be in any hotel. This hotel, which is in such a uniquely historical area, needs updating to reflect the atmosphere and ambiance of the region. Otherwise, it feels like a pit stop on the road.
negative:
The nose knows
The hallways and guest rooms have distinctly unpleasant odors. Smells of mustiness and mold permeate and and cannot be covered up by the odors of cleaning supplies or air fresheners.
negative:
On the road again
These rooms are frequent overnight stays for guests on the long haul. The rooms and common areas reflect this and give the overall impression of traffic worn and weary. Plus, many of the rooms aren't properly cleaned and sanitized between visits.
