The Château de Roussan is a great mansion built during the 17th Century, which first prestigious owner was Michel de Nostre-Dame, also known as ‘Nostradamus’. Surrounded by a magnificent park of 6ha, it is a magical place which invites to resting moments and that will immerge you within the authentic Provence. On its ground floor, and on both sides of its hall and majestic staircase, the castle offers two successive lounges and a dining room, orientated south towards the yard and the park, and north towards the plane trees. A beautiful lounge with an impressive view over the park and the Alpilles mountains, as well as the library and its antique books are both on the first floor. The restoration and the decoration of the Château de Roussan were executed with care, in total respect of the site and history. Domain furniture are beautifully combined with portraits, ornaments, vases and surprising, rare and unique objects. All the rooms have an incredible view, some looking over the park, the Alpilles mountains, others over the pond and the rising sun, and others looking north, over the majestic alley of ancient plane trees, described as “probably the most beautiful in Provence”. The suites and rooms are equipped with beautiful, luminous and modern bathrooms, and all have A/C, flat screen TV with satellite channels, direct telephone line, free Wi-Fi, mini bar and a safe. The peacefulness of the park and the majesty of the mansion provide a respiration comparable to a pause in space-time
