Hotel Catskill Mountain Lodge (Palenville, USA)

The property is perfect for those who wanted a time off from the stress of the city. Aside from the quietness of the place, guests also loved that they are able to fully enjoy nature. All rooms are tastefully decorated and spacious, and feature fireplaces for maximum calming atmosphere.

Guests admired the fact that this property is located beside a river. The river provided a great backdrop for the lodge, and also became the number one attraction in the area. Other attractions and New York towns are also nearby such as Woodstock, Saugerties, and Windham.

The dinners of the guests at the on-site restaurant were made excellent by the live jazz bands that sang them their favourite tunes. Foods at the restaurant were beyond delicious, and the services by the staff were spot on. At midnight, some guests even stated that the restaurant provided free wine!

The mattresses were covered by a plastic sheet, and guests weren't allowed to remove the said covering. Many guests found the plastic sheets irritating and uncomfortable, and complained that they weren't able to sleep straight because of the plastic.

Guests who love coffee have had many issues during their stay here. They said that there weren't coffee packets available in the rooms, and that the coffee makers were filled with spider webs or dust when they used it the first time. The cups weren't also cleaned by the housekeepers after they used them.

Previous guests had problems with the TV, stating that the reception wasn't good and they had a hard time watching a single show. Others had to hook up the cable themselves for the equipment to work.
