Hotel Casa Ixchel (Isla Mujeres, Mexico)

The on-site restaurant was given high marks for guests who ate there. They felt the quality of the food was really good and fresh. They enjoyed the restaurant being on the top floor provided for panoramic views of the ocean.

The yoga classes which were included in the rate of the hotel were found to be a welcoming activity by guests. They enjoyed these classes offered three times a week.

Guests were very happy with the nice views that they saw of the ocean, the sunsets and the more wild part of the island. Since it is not in the main area, it was quiet and had this particular beautiful surrounding as well. The terrace gave them a nice opp

The air conditioning was found to be loud and noisy by guests who mentioned they needed earplugs to tone away from the noise. It was too loud and disruptive for a good rest.

Guests felt the curtain separating the bathroom from the living areas of the room was too little. They would have preferred a door and a private place to use the restroom. Some rooms also had no privacy if the curtains were opened.

Guests felt the hotel was in need of a renovation since the facilities and furnishings were old fashioned. They would have preferred to have a modern look to the hotel, but felt that things like fridges, air conditioning and beds need to be replaced.
