Positive Reviews
positive:
Comfortable, well-appointed suites.
With full kitchens in all suites, and family rooms available, there's plenty of space to relax in, and all the home comforts you could ask for. With the DVD player and free Wi-Fi, you can keep the whole family entertained, and if you don't want to eat out, then you can easily prepare a meal.
positive:
Easy access to the airport.
It's about a five minute drive to the airport terminals from Candlewood Suites Kansas City Airport, and the hotel is located right on the edge of the airport site, so you don't have to worry about getting stuck in traffic on the way to your flight. Plus, there's easy access to downtown Kansas City, and numerous restaurants nearby.
positive:
Helpful, courteous service.
While you'll enjoy a good amount of privacy, if there's anything you need, guests say that staff are more than happy to help - whether it's extra bedding, fresh towels, or a maintenance issue. Check-in seems to be an efficient and swift process, so you can just turn up and relax.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Parking is a bit limited.
Some guests have had problems finding somewhere to park, with a few people saying they had to park in a different lot. Also, it's worth noting that parking is short-term, so you can't leave your car there while you jet off on vacation - which has taken some guests by surprise.
negative:
No breakfast provided.
Since full kitchen facilities are provided within the suites the hotel doesn't provide breakfast. If you're staying for a while, it's no major issue, as you can buy in food, but if you're just on a pre-flight overnight stay, it can be an annoyance.
negative:
The Wi-fi is a bit unreliable.
Numerous guests have reported issues with the Wi-Fi, saying that it's slow or the connection drops out while they're trying to get things done. It seems better in the communal areas, so if you're having problems, head down to the lobby. It's not ideal, but it should work at least.
