The owners are friendly and welcoming, making an effort to be present to greet you and show you your rooms on arrival. They're available by email or phone, as well, if you have any special requirements or requests.

The clean, well-stocked apartments come with everything (except groceries) you may need to take care of yourself during your stay. Well-equipped kitchens mean that you can cook for yourself easily, and tea/coffee is provided for you.

This hotel is located right in the middle of the city centre, within a short walk of the central station as well as numerous shops, cafes, bars, and restaurants. If you want to visit Amsterdam's world famous red light district, it's only a couple of blocks away, making it simple to explore.

This is Amsterdam - and the staircases are steep and narrow. It can be quite difficult to get large bags upstairs from street level to your apartment. Also, considering there's no elevator, if you‘re unable to navigate the stairs, you will want to look elsewhere.

The windows are thin and don't provide very good sound insulation, so noise from the street comes through easily. This wouldn't be an issue in a quieter location, but the apartments are upstairs from three different bars, all of which are open until early in the morning. After which, the patrons tend to hang around in the street for as much as an hour.
