Hotel Cairnbaan (Lochgilphead, United Kingdom)

Some of the guests called this hotel a “little goldmine” due to its location as it exits right on the banks of Crinan Canal. The hotel also provides a convenient access for touring in the nearby areas of interest.

The entire staff at the hotel has been reported to be very hard working, efficient and cheerful. The guests appreciated the fact that the hotel offers part time employment to the local boys and girls as wait staff during the evenings providing them opportunity to show their potential..

The food served at the restaurant of the hotel has been found to be extremely tasty offering wide choice on the dinner menu leaving the guests delightful.

There have been complaints regarding a few rooms at the hotel to be dirty and unheated causing lot of discomfort to the guests. The bins showed the waste from the previous occupants on the arrival of new guests into the rooms. Moreover, filthy floors and moldy shower curtains in the bathrooms left the guests very disappointed.

According to some guests the hotel looked bit tired/shabby and needs improvement. The bar and dining room had sticky floor, lights were missing in the corridor, the seating (sofas) at the bar looked quite grubby and the reception area featured filthy carpet leaving the guests uncomfortable and annoyed.

Few guests found the food/drinks served at the on-site restaurant and bar to be very expensive.
