Positive Reviews
positive:
Clean and bright.
Rooms offered at Burnside Guest House are very clean, and decorated with light and bright finishes, which make for a very joyful stay. The accompaniment of decently sized windows, which let in a lot of light, add to the cheerfulness of each room.
positive:
Plenty of off road parking.
For those arriving by car, it can be very frustrating if one has to source their own parking, and pay for it for the duration of their stay. Burnside Guest House has ample parking space onsite, and off the road, allowing for guests not to worry about their car's security.
positive:

For guests that require any assistance with where and what to do in the surrounding area, the staff and owners are more than happy to assist with whatever one may require, with suggestions readily available.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Short breakfast service.
While the morning meal is a delicious aspect of one's stay at Burnside Guest House, guests may find that the short time period it is served in to be a problem. It is only served for a very short time, early in the morning, allowing the staff and owners to get on with the day, and tend to their other duties.
negative:
Furniture and décor is dated.
Although kept clean and well maintained, the furnishings and décor seem to be from a time period in the 70's, which is not for everyone. Guests who are not bothered by this will find no fault in any of the other furnishing problems.
negative:
No hot food allowed.
There is a ban on guests having hot food in their rooms. Unfortunately this is done for a specific reason, as messes do occur. For those who missed the short early morning breakfast time, they will have to find a nearby café or restaurant to sate their hunger.
