Hotel Boccaccio (Rome, Italy)

The hotel is in a convenient location to most Roman sights, walking distance for most, and also near plenty of public transportation stops. There are also various restaurants for local cuisine and some bars for drinking and light snacking.

This place made some guests feel at home as the décor, furnishings and overall ambiance was a classic Italian feel. There was no fake or detached environment, but rather a home away from home feel. Guests were content with the place and their rooms.

The same lady is mentioned various times as being the person who made most guests feel welcomed. They felt she was nice and very easy to speak with, she will go out of the way to explain places and rules for the hotel.

Although it mentions that it is a hotel, some guests found that it is more like a guesthouse. There are only five rooms and not a lot of amenities that are the norm for hotels. Some guests would have preferred a hotel with more amenities.

Some guests were not aware beforehand that most of the accommodations come with shared bathrooms. Some would have preferred a private or en suite facility, and were rather disappointed with sharing the bathrooms.

Some guests would have liked to have had an air-conditioning system in the summer months. The hotel does provide a fan on request, but most guests would have preferred a nice air-conditioning system for their rooms.
