Hotel Boca Do Rio (Portimâo, Portugal)

Although there were not many people working in the hotel, the people that most guests encountered were found to be nice and courteous overall. They would try to resolve any doubts quickly and explain rules as well.

Some guests decided on this hotel because it offered them the chance to stay in an apartment and be independent during their vacation. They had their own kitchenettes and balconies close to the beaches.

The hotel is located near three beaches and within five minute drive from the centre of Portimão. It was in a relaxing location not too far from the city and the ocean, so it had a little bit of both landscapes. Most guests were happy with the surrounding area.

Some guests would have prefered to have had a more lively and upbeat atmosphere from the hotel. They found it to be too boring and too relaxing during their stay.

The amenities offered were thought to be minimal and lacking by some guests. Such as, for a one week stay, they were given only one toilet paper and were not given more. They told these guests they had to buy their own. Towels had to be asked of as well, and cleaning is not on a daily basis.

Some guests found it annoying to have to be looking for the reception staff if they needed or had to ask something from them. They did not find it normal, as it advertises itself as a hotel, for guests to have to look for the staff members.
