Guests who stayed here noted that there are many attractions to go nearby. Best Western Mainland Inn & Suites is not far from Galveston and you can get to a beautiful island within 15 minutes. You can also hang out at night at Gulf Greyhound Park, which is just right across the highway.

If you are a lover of protein-based breakfast, you will enjoy the free breakfast here. According to guests, there are enough sausages, luncheon meat, hotdogs, and eggs for everyone, which is a good change from the standard toast and coffee. You can also ask for fruits and other items if you are vegetarian.

For lunch and dinner, guests did not have to drive far to find a restaurant. Right next door is Ryan's Buffet. There is also an Olive Garden and Beyond Burgers within walking distance. If you are looking for a place that is not crowded and with a very nice drinking atmosphere, Gringo's is the way to go.

Some guests complained that the bathroom was not thoroughly cleaned when they entered. There is used soap left from the previous occupants, and discarded toilet paper roll lies under the bathroom counter.

If you have an issue during your stay and tried to call the front desk but no one answered, you might have to go down to the lobby yourself and speak directly with a staff. Many guests have complained that there is often no staff at the reception.
