Hotel Best Western Sea Wake Inn (Clearwater Beach, USA)

Clearwater Beach is one of the nation's top rated beaches, and the hotel is just a matter of feet from the sand. The hotel owns a private 260-foot stretch of beach reserved for guests, and your room includes free use of beach chairs, towels and umbrellas.

Guests love the beachfront view from the hotel's terrace and bar. Sample the selection of signature drinks on-site including the sunburst frozen cocktail, or stick to the classic margarita and watch the sunset over the water.

Although the hotel has an onsite restaurant and bar, you will definitely want to explore the countless cafes, bars and shops along Gulfview Blvd. The hotel is one mile south of Pier 60, and just a bit further across the Memorial Causeway is the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, home of Winter the Dolphin.

The hotel charges extra resort fees which are not included in the cost of the room. Many guests were displeased after looking at their bill to find that they had been charged resort fees without being fully informed beforehand of the extra charge.

The elevators seem like they could use some attention. Guests reported that the elevators were slow, creaky and frequently broke down. A handful of guests even reported being stuck in the elevator for a few minutes.

The hotel's decor seems to be a bit out of date. While the style of the hotel fits the overall theme of the Florida beachfront resort, it feels like it could use some refurbishment to make it feel more current.
