Guests loved that they could walk to all major attractions. Located close to the riverfront, Mark Twain attractions and the lighthouse, guests were also able to access tourist information at the visitor center across the street.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Nearby trains.
Railroad tracks are in close proximity to Best Western Plus On the River, and a few guests complained of train whistles early in the morning. While not a problem for the majority of guests, light sleepers might want to bring ear plugs.
negative:
Pool surprise.
The indoor pool and hot tub is located next to the lobby, and some guests would have preferred a different layout. The smell of chlorine was an issue at times, and guests were inconvenienced by an awkward access to the facilities.
negative:
Parking might be tight.
Since most tourist sights were in walking distance, it's easy to see why the parking lot could be full. Guests loved that parking was included in their room rate, but depending on the time of year, it could be hard to locate a space.
