This hotel is located just off I 77 so it's an easy in and out from the property. You're walking distance to several restaurants and bars  and a large shopping mall and many attractions are a short drive away.

The spacious, well-appointed and clean guest rooms make you feel at home. Comfortable beds made up with soft linens and lots of extras like a work area, AM/FM clock radio and data ports are a plus.

The walls and ceilings at Best Western Carowinds are thin and this can make for a noisy stay, as you can often hear the goings on in the room next door, and especially can hear the sound of footsteps above your head and voices coming from the corridors.

This hotel offers both non-smoking and smoking rooms. This is quite evident, because when you walk into a smoking room, the acrid, stale smell of second-hand smoke is hard to miss. If this is a problem for you, be sure to state your preference for a non-smoking room upon booking, and then again at check-in.

The Internet connection in the guest rooms can be slow and spotty which could be problematic if you're traveling on business or want to use your devices on demand. Luckily, the Wi-Fi in the public spaces is spot-on.
