Hotel BELLAVISTA welcomes you on Corn Island in Nicaragua, the forgotten tropical paradise in the Caribbean. Only 50 miles northeast of the mainland are the two tiny Corn Islands located. The Big Corn Island and the Little Corn Island are the last secrets of the Caribbean. The deserted beaches, family-owned hotels and bed and breakfasts, surrounded by exotic fruit trees and palms, are visited by only a few adventures travellers.

Already in the 17th century pirates from all over the Caribbean discovered the Corn Islands. 300 years later the first tourists managed to arrive here on this lonely spot of Nicaragua. Today you can dive the history of this paradise by discovering a 400 year old Spanish galeon which drowned just a few meters away from the beach. The canons are still in good shape and an anchor is lying only 14 feet down on the ground of the Caribbean sea. The reefs around the Corn Islands are stunning. Rich in tropical fish and corals you can find good snorkeling spots close to the beach or just find yourself on one of the white sanded beaches and enjoy the clear turquoise water.

Nowadays the locals live from catching and selling fresh fish but tourism is growing and some of them take already good care, ones you are arriving here. The Islands are developing slowly and with them our Hotel BELLAVISTA: Giorgio and Teresa are the protagonists of this tiny business. Originally from Italy they are already 20 years on Big Corn Island and they welcome you warmly to their beautiful caribbean-styled hotel which feels, like being home.

The Hotel BELLAVISTA on the Corn Islands is located only 10 meters away from the beach of Brig Bay 2 (Playa Shipwreck). Six beautiful beach rooms in the typical caribbean style can accommodate up to 14 people. Furthermore we have one private Seaview Suite for up to four guests.

Free Airport-Pickup – Relax! We do the rest. Book a room in our Hotel BELLAVISTA and we will pick you up from the airport or harbor for free. Please let us know which time you arrive on Corn Island.

Beachfront - Hotel BELLAVISTA is right in front on the beach. Only 10 meters away from the white-sanded Playa Shipwreck. Take a refreshing swim in the morning or enjoy the sunset directly in the beach hotel.

Restaurant – The Restaurant BELLAVISTA is open the whole day around. Enjoy our italian and caribbean food. We serve the best Seafood-Pasta on the Corn Island. Treat yourself with fresh Caribbean fish, lobster and mussels and the best italian pasta al dente you find in Nicaragua!

Private Suites – All our hotel rooms are private rooms. Private Bathroom - All rooms come with shower.

Fan - All our rooms are furnished with fans to cool you down. Most of the time the breeze from the sea gives a refreshing feeling. The climate on Corn Island is rather mild than hot with temperatures around 26 – 32° Celsius.

Parking lot – If you wish, to bring your own car on the Corn Island or you like to rent a car or a motorbike on the island, you can park it for free next to the Hotel BELLAVISTA.

Washing-Service – Which is your washing day? We don’t care, we just do it for you whenever you want. Bring all your dirty clothes and within one or two days (depends on the humanity), all your clothes are ready to wear.

Daily cleaning – Our staff is cleaning the rooms every day. Fresh blankets, fresh towels, fresh feeling!

The beach hotel is a fully equipped house with 6 caribbean styled rooms, relaxing area and restaurant around. The small complex is situated only a few steps away from the beach of Playa Shipwreck. In this area – so close to the beach – we have WIFI available.

The restaurant is open early in the morning until late in the evening. We serve italian but also local caribbean food including italian wine and pasta but also fresh eggs for breakfast, local coffee and more. Our speciality is the Seafood Pasta, a delicious meal with plenty of different kind of fresh caribbean fishes and lobster. The pasta is always al dente!
