Those running this guesthouse are extremely accommodating and welcoming. They goes out of their way to help out in any way they can. Guests are given a tour of the accommodation There is also a friendly dog who lives in the guest house. The staff are helpful in an unobtrusive way, so it feels very private and homely.

The atmosphere here is that of a home away from home. The interiors are wonderfully realized and it makes for a very relaxing place to hang out in before heading out for the day or evening. This cozy bed and breakfast makes a great romantic getaway for couples and it's also popular with wedding parties. It's location ensures peace and quiet.

There is an abundance of food on offer at breakfast, which helps to set guests up for the day. A wide variety of healthy but tasty foods is provided such as egg casseroles with different flavorings, baked muffins and toast, Greek yoghurts and homemade preserves.

Some considered it overpriced in comparison to more centrally located accommodation with more amenities. Many feel the price is worth paying for the unique décor, good food and drink, and the personal service offered.

Although only a ten-minute walk from the Shaw-Howard Metro Stop and slightly less to the U Street station, some felt it was too far from public transport.

There are a limited number of parking spaces available for guests. However, using these isn't free and if available, will be charged at an extra rate. With two metro stops in the locality, a car isn't strictly necessary in order to access Washington city.
