    Friendly, hard working, staff.

    The few people who work here seem to be permanently on duty. They work very hard and by and large, always seem to have a cheery disposition..

    Limited, but delicious, dinner choices.

    If you are prepared for a choice of pizza or a rustic home cooked dish of the day, you'll be thrilled here. There's actually quite a lot to be thrilled about as these home cooked ‘specials' are really appetising and a welcome change from standard hotel food. Later, the bar livens up and offers informal fun.

    The hotel may not be firing on all cylinders … but rooms are clean and comfortable. Surely, the prime feature of anyone's hotel stay.

    Negative Reviews

    negative:

    A disappointing washout.

    On arrival, but not hinted at beforehand, you'll need to hand over a substantial wad of cash. This is their deposit in case of damage and it gets things off on the wrong foot. Another disappointment for some is the golf course. Originally 18 holes, it's now reduced to nine. The other holes were washed away some years ago! Accommodation in Mesquite is better … so is the golf!

    Nothing and nobody

    On the morning of departure there is no sign of any activity whatsoever. Obviously, there are no plans to serve breakfast and nobody is on the front desk to take keys and wish you a safe journey. No breakfast then - just a nasty taste in the mouth.

    Keep an eye on the pool.

    The windows in ground floor rooms are above eye-level. In this sweltering heat, the pool is a great advantage - but it's been known to be empty!
