Positive Reviews
positive:
Convenient location for the airport
The location close to the Ted Stevens Airport was by far what guests most appreciated during their stay. Many were using the hotel for a quick airport layover, and found it to be very suitable for this purpose. The complementary airport shuttle was especially appreciated, since it removed the need for a hire car or expensive cab ride.
positive:
Remarkably quiet
Guests were simply astonished by how quiet it was at the hotel. They had naturally been expecting a bit of noise on account of it being an airport hotel, but reported that they heard neither plane noise nor noise from the street when relaxing and sleeping in their room.
positive:
Decent value for money
Guests were unanimous in saying they believed they had received good value for money. Considering Anchorages reputation for expensive hotel rooms, they felt they received a very good room rate for a clean and decent hotel in a very convenient location.
Negative Reviews
negative:
All carb breakfast
Guests in general were unhappy with the breakfast, saying it was far too simple to generate any enthusiasm. What seemed to irk quite a number of guests was that it contained pretty much only carbohydrate based foods. It had almost nothing at all for those on a gluten free or low carb diet.
negative:
No restaurants nearby
A number of guests were disappointed that there were not restaurants within walking distance. Since the hotel itself only serves breakfast, that meant a trip by car every time one wanted to have a bite to eat.
negative:
Hallways hot and stuffy
Several guests reported that the hallways of the hotel were not air conditioned. This was said to make them stuffy all year long and stiflingly hot during summer.
