Hotel Ballestero (Barcelona, Spain)

From the hostel it's just a few minutes walk to the train station and the metro. This made it a highly convenient choice for guests traveling to and from Barcelona. It's also within walking distance of several restaurants, bars, and shops.

Most of the guests that stayed at Ballestero Guest House were looking for a simple, inexpensive place to lay their head down at night. Ballestero fit the bill, offering a highly competitive nightly rate that many guests noted was the lowest price in the area at the time of their stay.

Many seasoned travellers have become accustomed to low cost hostels offering limited service. As such, they were pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms are serviced each day, with the beds made up with clean sheets and the towels replaced in the bathrooms as well.

Quite a few guests complained about the size of the rooms and the bathrooms. They described them as being difficult to maneuver in with more than one person in the room and said that they had very little space to store their luggage. Several also noted that the showers were quite cramped, with a few guests going so far as to complain that they did not fit.

Reviewers of Ballestero Guest House often complained about the poor soundproofing in the rooms. Many said that due to the thin walls they were unable to sleep.

Previous guests recommended that foreign travellers learn a few phrases in Spanish before staying at this hostel. The staff speaks very little English or Italian.
