Hotel Astoria Sorrento (Sorrento, Italy)

This hotel is situated in a beautiful part of the city. You can walk the cobbled streets to many different tourist attractions in the area. The locals are very friendly and are willing to help you find your way around. There are many fantastic restaurants that you can walk to.

Guests to the Hotel Astoria have reported that the hotel is very clean inside and out. The staff does a fantastic job of keeping the outside of the hotel clear. The rooms are always fresh when you get back from a day of exploring the city.

The inner courtyard of the hotel is very peaceful. The plants are well maintained and the service staff keep it in great shape. The location of the courtyard also helps to remove you from the bustling streets outside. There is a lovely seating area and you can sunbathe without the view of the public.

Some guests have reported tht the Hotel Astorias' breakfast is unsatisfactory. Guests have said that there was not a wide enough variety from day-to-day. The orange juice is made from concentrate which is strange as the Sorrento area is known for its citrus. The table linen needs to be replaced and the staff ned to service the buffet more regularly as food runs out or gets cold.

Although guests are not affected whilst on the hotel grounds, some have reported that once you leave for the day the hotel staff enters your room and switches off the electricity. This is an issue if you need to charge your gadgets and personal devices.

Although most guests have a pleasant stay, some have reported that they were not comfortable in their rooms. The beds are rather small and hard which makes it difficult to get comfortabe. It is quite noisy in the hotel, especially at night, as no soundproofing has been done on the alls or windows. Although this can be quite annoying, guests can ask for a room overlooking the inner courtyard or on a higher floor where it is a little quieter.
