Belmonte is just a short walk away from Albufeira's old town with its shops, restaurants and historical and cultural sites. The beach is also within walking distance and taxis are easy to find as well as affordable.

The meals at Belmonte's coffee shop as well as the cocktails at the bar are said to be very good with attention to detail and the interactive staff giving the dining experience a personal touch too.

The gardens and swimming pools surrounded by sun-loungers are well kempt and a great place to spend the day relaxing and for children to play. The ground floor apartments even have their own private garden/terrace.

In general, whether it's the bathrooms, kitchen areas in the apartments or the swimming pool and the rest of the grounds, some guests have noted a level of and maintenance that leaves a lot to be desired.

In case of any problems during the night for example, there are few or no staff members on the property to assist guests.

Depending on the room you book, it may be a little small for some and generally they are quite dated, with no air conditioning, for example. Generally though they are comfortable enough for short stays.
