The location can't be criticized adversely. The hotel is close to the historical sites; also the old market and of course, that tantalising nightlife.
It's a waste of time on a number of levels. The content is completely unappealing to Western tastes. The guests, themselves, devour everything like locusts and the staff are completely disorganized, so when items are gone, they aren't replaced. Breakfast is a total disaster!
Here, as in many other places, they need some PR guidance and remember precisely who is paying their wages!
Yes you can walk to a number of attractions but the hotel isn't in the very center of the town so you'll need occasional 'tuk-tuk' transportation. *A 'tuk-tuk' is a sort of motorized rickshaw and transportation has some enjoyable novelty value.
