Positive Reviews
positive:
It's right across the street for Disneyland
From the hotel, guests could walk to Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. Since those are the attractions most of their guests can for, this was a huge benefit to them, and it eliminated the need to deal with traversing Disney's massive parking lot. It's so close, guests could even watch the park's fireworks from the hotel's rooftop deck.
positive:
It's spacious and inexpensive
Guests generally found the rooms at Desert Inn and Suites to be quite reasonably priced for the area. The biggest advantage for many, both in terms of cost and convenience, was he size of the rooms, the largest of which can sleep 10 people. This enabled guests who were traveling with big families to all stay together, and prevent them from having to pay for multiple rooms.
positive:
Their employees are wonderful
Guests were typically quite happy with the service they received at this hotel. Every member of the staff they encountered was friendly. The housekeeper did a good job at keeping the rooms spotless, and the front desk made the check-in process a breeze.
Negative Reviews
negative:
It's a little out of vogue
Guests couldn't help but notice that the decor and lines are beginning to look rather dated. Some expressed that they would not return in favor of staying somewhere with a more modern look, but for most guests it was a primarily aesthetic issue which did not detract from their stay terribly.
negative:
The parking lot is overcrowded
Some guests experienced issues trying to use the hotel's parking lot, such as discovering there were no spaces available or that they had been blocked in when someone double parked. Guests found this to be particularly obnoxious in light of the fact that the hotel charges a nightly fee for parking.
negative:
No hot breakfast
A few guests were bothered by the selection of continental items offered at breakfast. They would have preferred it if there were a few hot items as well.
