Clean and friendly accommodation.
Management and staff are friendly and helpful and it has to be said that the levels of cleanliness and hygiene are exceptionally high. Check in is stress free. Just be aware that, at night, check in is shared with other hotels, so keep on your toes to make sure that you finish up here!

A convenient location.
If you have to walk anywhere in the centre of Amsterdam, it's never too far away. The area is popular with tourists (*of course!) and with visiting business people and conference delegates.

Impressive attention to detail … no rough edges!
It's the little things that stick in the memory. Here, they have a useful light above the mirror in the bathroom. Also, there are generous and regularly topped up supplies of shampoo and soap and -very thoughtfully - a choice of toilet tissue or paper.

Unappetising omissions.
Cutting corners is OK up to a point, but when you stay in a hotel, you at least expect some sort of breakfast option. It's not in evidence here. Neither do they change towels etc; on a regular basis. You don't need to pay too much more to get these basic services.

Not your cup of tea?
You are deprived of tea, coffee and all hot drinks. There isn't even a kettle in the room and nothing in reception; not even one of those machines that churns out disgusting quality tea and coffee. This is a hot drink desert.

Out on a limb.
Some attractions, bars, restaurants and shops are nearby … but it's a ‘damned' long 30 minute walk to Dam Square. The tram terminus is nearby so you can take that. Even then, though, it's a 10 minute journey.
