Positive Reviews
positive:
A private retreat.
There's not much better than an endless turquoise ocean, white sand beach, and secluded accommodation for a welcome haven from the every day stresses of life. Guests had their expectations of a peaceful holiday fulfilled, and most said that it was the idyllic retreat that they were looking for.
positive:
Breakfast of champions.
While some guests claimed that the breakfast lacked variety, the majority felt that the no frills morning meal was worth getting up for. Sometimes simple is best, and the oatmeal, fresh fruit and homemade baking was the perfect fuel for starting another day in paradise.
positive:
Well positioned in Tulum.
Tucked away from the crowds, guests were thankful for the peace and quiet, but also happy to have some of the best restaurants in the area within a short walk. A great little taco bar is right next door, and the rest of the area is easily explored on the bikes available for rent.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A sweaty situation.
Guests often fell victim to the hot, hot heat of Mexico. The absence of air-conditioning was sometimes a struggle, and even though fans are provided, it wasn't always enough to combat the stifling temperatures.
negative:
Creepy crawly friends.
You might find that you aren't alone in paradise, thanks to a number of insects that may or may not be up for a slumber party. Guests had several encounters with six and eight legged roommates, so make sure you get a bug net.
negative:
No alcohol zone.
If you plan on indulging on your vacation, you might be out of luck. The kitchen has a fully stocked refrigerator, but you won't find alcohol, and guests are asked not to drink it on the premises. The good news? A fun beach bar is steps away.
