Well kept and welcoming.
The hotel maybe a bit dated, but that’s part of the charm. Outside areas are peaceful and attractive. It is extremely clean throughout. The welcome and attention received from members of staff are enthusiastic and are essential components of your visit.

Bet you come back!
The combination of friendly staff, pleasant and clean rooms, the easy access to Canterbury Park … and the four mile trip to the blackjack tables of Mystic Casino, form part of a great break. Hardly surprising that so many guests return here regularly.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Out in the sticks.
Civilization, in the form of Minneapolis nightlife, is a car journey of half an hour or so. If, though, you just want an ‘away from it all’ break … you’ll love it here. It’s not desolate, though; there are plenty of shops and restaurants around.
negative:
It’s that smell again.
They’re ‘flogging a dead horse’ trying to revive some rooms. There’s that all too common smell of mold and someone has been working unduly hard; defying all odds to bring new life back to the carpet. *The detergent they have been using smells worse than the carpet did at the beginning of the process.

‘Wham, bam’ …
Thank you mam; your longed for weekend lie in is completely destroyed by cleaning staff shouting at each other and consistently banging doors. It’s good to know that they are fulfilling the cleaning process, when many hotels don’t … but, surely they could show more consideration for resident, paying, guests.
