Positive Reviews
positive:
A terrific location.
Handy for the Airport and the city's shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, this hotel is very well situated. There is a breakfast served at the hotel but this location means that there are plenty of well-priced, alternative options, literally on the doorstep.
positive:
A cost effective solution.
You can pay much, much more for hotel accommodation in this busy Brooklyn location. It's worth bearing this in mind as you come across some of the hotel's less welcoming features.
positive:
Helpful staff.
Members of staff are helpful, sometimes in difficult situations. Rooms are generally kept clean and beds are comfortable.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The place is bugged
Bed bugs abound here. Infestation seems to be an established problem with members of staff seemingly unable to offer any remedy. They have been known to turn the problem back on the guest and suggest that they brought the bugs in with them. Not very good PR! Linen is minimal and towels are of poor quality.
negative:
Hourly rate' and other problems.
Because they offer hourly rates, there is an unattractive element staying here. The result is the presence of prostitution and drugs; something not acceptable to many guests. Generally, tariffs vary quite a lot and for no apparent reason. Also, they sometimes insist on cash payment but, on other occasions, card payment is accepted. Strange!
negative:
A noisy hotel.
The building is quite new but they didn't include any sound insulation in the building process. Loud noise and music from other guests and incessant train noise, combine to be a real pain. The district itself is not attractive and becomes quite menacing at night.
