Locally sourced produce and meat and a talented chef make for a wonderful dining experience in both the restaurant and pub located on premises. In addition to the regular menu, the staff is happy to prepare foods for those with special needs such as those who wish to eat a gluten free or lactose free diet.

It's great that pets are welcome here as it's so much fun to travel with your favourite furry friend. As a bonus, you'll find that the pet-friendly rooms are located by a gated area where your pet can do his business without having to go too far afield.

Although The Amberly Inn has renovated many of the guest rooms, some of them have yet to be altered. These rooms are beginning to show their age and with the prices here, you may be disappointed if you're given such a room.

Mostly, the housekeeping staff at this hotel is spot-on, but sometimes they miss the mark. Bathrooms that aren't thoroughly cleaned, carpets in need of vacuuming and stained linens are among the worst offenders.

Sometimes the Wi-Fi signal in the guest rooms is less than stellar. This can be unfortunate if you have multiple devices you want to use or are trying to get an email out in a hurry. Luckily, the WI-Fi is more reliable in the public spaces.
