Hotel Altmünchen by Blattl (Munich, Germany)

Many guests enjoyed the central location of the hotel as it is close to the S and U public transport lines and also a walking distance from main attraction. The old town area and the central square are some sites that are walking distance from the hotel.

Guests who were not expecting luxury, were very satisfied with the comfortable and charming furnishings and feel of the rooms. The bathrooms had bathtubs and the rooms were quiet and tranquil. There is also an elevator available for guests to use which is a nice addition.

The hotel's staff is mentioned as friendly and accommodating to their guests. They were able to hold a nice conversation with the guests, especially the American manager, who was kind enough to help guests with any issues. For example, show them the parking garage and book train tickets for guests.

The smoke smell emanating from the rooms and hotel in general were a bit too much for non-smokers and people who did not appreciate the smell. Some had asked for a non-smoking room and entered the room with an obvious smoke smell. One of the receptionist seemed to be smoking each time he was seen.

Some guests did not like the room size they found in the hotel. They felt the whole layout was odd and did not help with the space issues. They would have enjoyed a larger space for their baggage and have an airy feeling.

Some guests were disappointed to see the TV channels were only in German. Some expected there to be at least a couple of English channels but there were none.
