positive:
Well-appointed accommodation.
Guests were pleasantly surprised with the unexpected extras at this bed and breakfast. It was the little things that contributed to a comfortable stay, like an armoire for unpacking clothes, and a microwave in the hallway for a quick meal. Other conveniences included coffee and tea making facilities, and a small fridge in the common area.
positive:
Service with a smile.
The owners of Altamira were excellent hosts, according to guests, and many enjoyed their local knowledge and tips. If you are looking for friendly service that might be missing from a larger hotel, this could be the place for you.
positive:
Feel like a local.
From the complimentary breakfast in a cafe down the street, to the charming Italian neighbourhood, guests enjoyed staying at Altamira for its decidedly un-touristy vibe.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Pleasure, not business.
If you are reliant on Wi-Fi to finish off a major work task, or can't tear yourself away from email, Altamira might be a bit of a let down. Some guests were frustrated with a weak Internet connection.

Need breakfast, will travel.
A few guests weren't thrilled about the breakfast provided down the street. They didn't like having to travel to a second location, and some also wanted a larger portion. It seems a light breakfast of coffee, croissant, and juice is provided, but guests with bigger appetites might need to go elsewhere.
negative:
Multi-unit dwelling.
This bed and breakfast has rooms below other apartments. As such, guests heard upstairs noises from time to time. Plumbing and footsteps weren't well-received by some guests who were disappointed with the extra background noise, and a few advised bringing earplugs. But for the most part, guests who wore themselves out from sightseeing were able to sleep soundly.
