Hotel Almijara - Mares (La Herradura, Spain)

Hotel Almijara is one of the lower priced hotels in the area, and as such many travellers approached it with low expectations. They were pleasantly surprised to find that the rooms were quite spacious, with plenty of natural light and gorgeous views of the bay. The furniture was comfortable, and the rooms were cleaned to a high standard.

Nearly every previous guest agreed that the staff at Hotel Almiljara displayed exemplary customer service. The employees were friendly without sacrificing professionalism, and they were happy to accommodate special requests.

Previous guests were impressed by the breakfast selection each morning. They offer baked goods including croissants, as well as hot and cold meats and fresh squeezed orange juice. Guests noted that everything was fresh and well presented.

Quite a few guests could not help but noticed the decor and furniture are a tad out of date. Most travellers were accustomed to staying in hotels with a more modern style.

A few travellers recommended that light sleepers avoid the street side, as there can be some noise from the traffic and nearby bars and restaurants.

Though the hotel advertises garage parking for guests, the number of spaces can sometimes be insufficient for the number of guests. This forced many guests to spend an undue amount of time hunting for a place to park on the surrounding side streets, something that often happened multiple times throughout their stay.
