Positive Reviews
positive:
A large space to stretch out
The suites have a lot of area to stretch out in. This is perfect for families. There is a kitchenette with full-size refrigerators for convenience. The suites also have two separate rooms rather than just separate spaces.
positive:
Nice ambiance in the common areas
The hotel has a welcoming and comfortable feel. The atrium is lovely for sitting and relaxing with drinks or for dining. The pool and hot tub are well maintained and functional. Plus, there is lots of parking with no fighting for space near the door.
positive:
Close to a lot of things
The hotel is conveniently located. It is close to markets and shops, and many restaurants are within an easy drive. The hotel is also popular with those having business at two local hospitals and the ease of access to I-80 makes this a great choice for travelers.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Needs an update
The rooms desperately need an update. The decor and fixtures are old-fashioned with no modern conveniences. While the name may have changed, the hotel itself remained the same.
negative:
Housekeeping has the day off
Judging by the looks of the rooms and common areas, housekeeping has a lot of days off. The rooms are frequently dusty and dirty with smudges, stains, and trash littering the rooms and hallways. Areas have cobwebs clearly visible. Overall, the smells and stains make this an unpleasant stay and the lax attitude about cleanliness might explain the chronic bug problem.
negative:
It's not just the rooms
The entire hotel has the appearance of a lazy attitude toward grooming. Trash receptacles are frequently full to overflowing and guests often run out of basic supplies only to be told there are no extra towels or sheets. Amenities also suffer from malfunctioning and the room balcony doors are locked with no access for guests. The hotel is in the midst of a much-needed renovation.
