If you're just looking to find somewhere comfortable to sleep for the night, this no-frills hotel could be right up your street. Guests find the rooms comfortable and very spacious – being able to sleep 8 people in a room! There is a nice pool too – which is great for kids and the hotel is surprisingly quiet.

If you're not bothered about being right next to the falls – and paying the supplements that that incurs – you should still be satisfied with the convenience of the location. You can still get to the falls or Clifton Hill by foot if you want, or it is just a short drive away. Guests appreciate its central location near shops and restaurants and being able to reach the main attractions by foot.

The owner, or manager, seems to be dedicated to making your stay as good as possible. Guests commend her hospitable attitude and big smiling persona.

Many guests accept that this is an old hotel and is a little bit run-down - you get what you pay for, right? However, just a bit more TLC – such as a fresh lick of paint, updated décor, new tiles or new linen – would seem to make a lot of difference.

Guests frequently raise the issue of hairs in places they shouldn't be. They are often found in towels or even on the couch. Sheets are often found to be stained and there are some complaints of bedbugs. All in all, guests would recommend that the hotel pays a bit more attention to its cleanliness.

Guests are often disappointed to discover that they can't fix themselves a cup of tea or coffee in their rooms.
