Positive Reviews
positive:
Impressive accommodation.
Very spacious, clean and well maintained, the apartments include a nice kitchen area. Probably not used very much because of the proximity to nearby restaurants - but useful nevertheless. Towels are supplied (*nice surprise) and the shower is effective and easy to use without reference to a manual!
positive:
Location couldn't be better.
It's about five minutes walk to the nearest station and the city centre is only a few stops away. The owner here is great and you'll find him very helpful with directions. One tip, though, is to take plenty of change with you so you can pay, without over-paying, for your train ticket.
positive:
Shops and restaurants nearby.
The apartments in the Mitte district, are accessed via a security code and feel very safe. Shops and restaurants abound! There's Ralph's grocery store next door, Rossman's pharmacy, plus restaurants such as: Burgurie and Asteria; all are nearby.
Negative Reviews

You are on your own
There's no reception area as such and rarely does the owner appear. If you don't speak German, this can be a very lonely place to stay. Nothing's included here, not even bottled water!
negative:
Quite noisy and an uphill struggle.
Walls are very thin and there's no sound proofing. There's also some street noise as the area is quite lively. If arriving by train, make sure you get off at the right stop. Most stations don't have an elevator so it can be a long haul with luggage ... only to find that you should have got off somewhere else!
negative:
Graffiti is a hobby
The area is covered in graffiti *although you never see anyone actually doing it! There's also quite a bit of rubbish littering the streets; so the area could be better.
