Guests were very pleased to learn that the trolley stopped right in front of the house, allowing them to easily travel into town and back. Many also found walking into town to be a refreshing change of pace as well, or often chose to ride a bicycle.

This B&B offers true genteel Southern Charm, guests report. They state that the attention to detail, from the breakfast, to the furnishings in the room made it so easy to experience what life must have been like during the late 1800s in the US. Those who are fans of historical homes would love this stay.

All guests raved about the owner-operators of this establishment. They were very attentive, often anticipating needs before they arose, and were reported to be very accommodating and responsive to any requests made.

Most guests who stayed in the main house raved about it, but most guests who opted for the larger Carriage House were disappointed that the same quality of the main house didn’t apply to the Carriage House.

Historical houses are, by their very nature, old. But, some guests found the creaking floors, the rattling plumbing, and the narrow stairs unsettling and uncomfortable.

Guests who booked the rooms with a romantic fireplace were very upset that they were not allowed to light them. They were told that it wasn’t the proper season for a fire, so the pilot lights had not been lit. Guests felt that this should have been disclosed both in the online advertising, as well as the correspondences prior to their arrival.
