Guests noted that the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming and honestly concerned about making guests' stays perfect. The staff not only explains the parking situation around the hotel but also personally accompanies guests to show them where to park. They are also quick to handle special requests and make guests experience true Southern hospitality.

The hotel is supposedly haunted, which makes for a truly unique stay. The rooms are furnished in a historic manner with antiques and dark furniture, which adds to the experience.

Guests appreciate the hotel's location in Historic Savannah, which makes it easy to see sights and explore all that the city has to offer from popular attractions to parks as well as restaurants featuring local cuisine.

Some guests found the rooms to be not clean enough, as they saw hair in sinks, showers and beds. A few noticed that the sheets and pillows were not completely clean.

The air-conditioning units seem to be in need of refurbishing, as a few guests noticed a musty odor upon entering the rooms and also commented on the fact that they were a bit noisy.

The guestrooms are spread out over three flights of stairs and the hotel does not have an elevator, so if you have mobility issues having to climb up the narrow stairs with your luggage might be a concern. Furthermore, there is no assigned parking and guests have mentioned that they sometimes ended up having to park several blocks away and walk back to the hotel.
