positive:
Great lakefront location close to Queenstown.
Reviewers overwhelmingly enjoyed the hostel’s
location on Lake Wakatipu. People enjoyed the great views of the lake
and the mountains as well as the hostel’s convenient placement just
a short walk from Queenstown.
positive:
Clean and comfortable facilities.
Visitors said the rooms and common areas were well-maintained and very clean. The communal kitchen in particular was highly appreciated for its large size which allowed multiple people to cook at the same time, as well as the fact that it was very well-stocked.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Spotty Wi-Fi signal.
Many reviewers commented on the free Wi-Fi which
was said to be slow at the best of times. Those who require a
reliable connection for the duration of their stay may have to rely
on their own data network to get any work done.
negative:
The popular location brings noise.
The hostel is a popular destination for
travellers, and large groups bring some noise. Guests noted that thin
walls do little to muffle the sounds of noisy stairs, loud doors, and
younger tenants staying up late.
negative:
Dorms can get cramped.
Visitors reported that the communal dorm rooms are
small and get cramped quickly. Beds and bunks were said to be small
and crowded together, with the layout of the rooms leaving very
little floor space for multiple people to move about.
