Elundini Backpackers is an eco-friendly backpackers.All our rooms are in rondavels wich are build in the traditional way. We have 1 dormitory room and 2 double/ triple/4sleeper bedrooms. Toilets and showers are in a communal sanitary block. We don't have flushing toilets but use compost toilets instead. Rain water is harvested from the roofs and stored in tanks. All waste water is recycled. Warm water coms from our solar geyser. For electricity we completely depend on solar energy.We have self catering facitlities but don't hesitate to join us for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Our kitchen staff will introduce you in Xhosa cuisine with a twist.During the day enjoy our activities organised by the local people whilst showcasing their 100% self owned business. Jump on that horse, hike to hogsback, learn how to make Xhosa bread and so much more.At the end of the day grab yourself a 75 ml beer from the bar, sit around the fire and gaze at the galaxy of stars.
