More than enough dining options
Guests appreciate the range of dining options available to them without even leaving the hotel. Serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert are two restaurants, namely Garbonzo's Restaurant and Peppermill Cafe. Also available is an on-site Starbucks and the Fireside Lounge.
positive:
A location that is difficult to beat
Several reviews boast about the fine location of this hotel. Situated downtown and close to ample places of interest and entertainment options, including the home of the Winnipeg Jets hockey team and the Winnipeg Art Gallery, guests have found the location of this hotel perfect for their stay.
positive:
Very fair price for accommodation
When considering the price of just the accommodation, without any of the added extras included, this hotel is very fairly priced. Guests appreciate that they don't need to part with an arm and a leg to stay at this hotel and enjoy the fine location and service given.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Several noise complaints from outside traffic
Several noise complaints, particularly from the noisy traffic passing outside, have been made in reviews with guests struggling to fall asleep during some nights as a result. Hotel management could improve this hotel by quite a large extent with effective sound-proofing efforts.
negative:
On-site parking service is expensive
Although only an optional added service, guests have found the on-site parking service to be slightly unreasonably priced, especially guests who have not known about the fee until it was due to be paid.
negative:
Complimentary breakfast would be a nice touch
There are several dining options offered at this hotel. However, no free breakfast is offered and several guests feel as though this hotel is lacking in that guests need to pay for every meal without the perk of at least a complimentary breakfast.
