Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Ann Arbor University of Michigan Area, an IHG Hotel (Ann Arbor, USA)

Some have called this the nicest Holiday Inn they've ever experienced.  A decent location within an eight-minute drive of the University of Michigan campus and football stadium, restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues.  Quiet and clean common areas, a great spot for extended stays on business.  There's a lovely pool and fully-equipped twenty-four hour gym, as well as a restaurant on-site serving all meals.  Two alternative restaurants are directly across the street (as well as numerous down the road.)  Breakfast is served daily (both on a continental buffet and a la carte), but double-check the prices.  (FYI: Zingermann's of Ann Arbor is highly-recommended for all meals, just fifteen minutes' drive from the doorstep).

Fresh-smelling, tidy rooms with pleasant decor and superb amenities.  Comfy double beds, good lighting, microwaves, refrigerators, in-room coffee makers, and decent work desks in very spacious units.  Some felt these rooms were exceptionally nice for the price.

Charming and efficient staff will accommodate you from arrival to departure.  Don't hesitate to call the desk if there's anything you should need!  Extended-stay guests have commended the team on their assistance and trustworthiness with mail/packages during their time here.

Mixed reviews on the breakfast; some reported the continental buffet is free but a la carte full breakfasts are not - others reported not even the buffet is free. Some decided it was too confusing and simply opted to eat elsewhere.

Some reported significant difficulty with their Wi-Fi connection, and found it to be only suitable for checking emails and Facebook messages - not for streaming video or anything of that sort.

Bring your printed confirmation with you - some had problems with the rates and rooms promised being honored upon arrival.
