Hostelling International New York is a located on Amsterdam Street in the heart of Midtown Manhattan. Housed in a historic red-brick Gothic-style building, it offers low-cost accommodations in one of the world’s most expensive markets. The facility provides easy access to several forms of public transportations, as well as to such attractions as Central Park, Times Square, the Broadway theater district, and Rockefeller Center. Accommodations consist of both private rooms and dormitories. Dormitories may be either single sex or co-ed and contain bunks sleeping as few as four or as many as twelve people, with bedding provided and shared bathrooms along the hall.
