Negative Reviews
negative:
Limited places within walking distance
Despite its location being perfectly fine for most, a notable amount of past visitors were somewhat disappointed about where the Royal Oak is situated. With Chichester city centre close to three miles away, it has been said that there is a lack of restaurants and attractions within walking distance from the inn.
negative:
Slow and unreliable Wi-Fi
According to former guests that used it during their stay, the Wi-Fi provided by the inn was far from the best in terms of quality. At times, the accommodation's Wi-Fi was described as both intermittent and slow.
negative:
Food and drink prices criticised
Whilst the meals served by the Royal Oak regularly scored high marks, the price for the food - and drinks especially - was considered overly high by some previous visitors. As a result, this has attributed to some questioning the true value provided by the inn - despite the high overall quality it reportedly possesses.
