Guesthouse The Nest (Raufarhöfn, Iceland)

Those who booked a stay at this guest house said that they were fond of the staff working here, who were said to be welcoming, helpful and friendly at all times. In addition to this, guests thought it to have a cosy, homely feel, especially when arriving to patiently waiting hosts.

People were happy to be able to make use of a shared kitchen to cook up their own meals while on the road in a sparsely populated area, as well as having communal areas to relax in. Furthermore, the simple rooms were said to be warm and comfortable and the bathrooms, although shared, were always to be kept very clean.

Although guests said that Raufarhöfn itself was tiny, with very limited options for eating out, they said that they enjoyed the chance to get into the wilderness, enjoy a little while in the rustic fishing village, search for the Arctic Circle and visit the northernmost area of Iceland.

Guests noted only a few small issues during their stay; namely that the internet connection was not very good, that there was no elevator in the guest house, but were not too upset with these given that they were indeed located in a small fishing village in a remote corner of Iceland.
