For many guests, what drew them to Kings Head Inn was the low nightly rate. Several reviews noted that at the time of their stay, it was the lowest priced hotel in the area, and many said it represented a significant value.

Previous guests found that almost everywhere they wanted to go during their stay in Llandovery was within a short distance of the hotel. They were pleased to note that there are several restaurants nearby, and many chose to stay there so that they could pursue attractions like the Red Kite Feeding Station, Dryslwyn Castle, or the Dan Yr Ogof Show Caves.
