Who doesn't love a newly renovated hotel room? Guests were happy to discover a thorough, top to bottom refurbishment of the Quality Inn Helen, including the hotel exterior.

Guests staying at this hotel for Oktoberfest were very pleased with the ability to walk to festival attractions. A short walk into downtown made this hotel, in the heart of Helen, a top pick for many.

Cleaning staff at this hotel took their job seriously, and it showed. Guests found that rooms were routinely tended to, including the usual fresh sheets and towels, as well as attention to detail for messy areas, dust, and carpets that needed a good vacuuming. Guests gave rooms top marks for cleanliness.

Guests found that rooms were sometimes stuffy and stale, or worse, smelled of smoke in non-smoking accommodations. With no window to open, it wasn't easy to get rid of smells left behind. The new hotel renovation has also left a lingering scent of new carpet that was unsatisfactory to some guests.

Guests wished for plenty of parking at this hotel, but during festival season, or in the summer months, this wasn't the case. A crowded parking lot with no overflow area was a bit of a downer for some guests. But it might not be all bad news, with potential space freeing up in the parking lot after a lengthy hotel renovation.

A free breakfast is something to appreciate, but while guests were fine with the simple offerings at this hotel, they weren't o.k. with certain details that were overlooked. Cold food when it should be hot, running out of essentials like milk, and watery coffee, put a damper on this complimentary meal for some.
