Positive Reviews
positive:
Stunning location on the North Cornish coastline.
You can immerse yourself in the local legends of Tintagel when you stay at King Arthur's Arms Inn. Talk to locals in the pub downstairs, stroll through the traditional village and explore the ancient ruins of Tintagel Castle all in an afternoon.
positive:
Helpful staff with lots of local knowledge.
The owner of the inn has lived in Tintagel all his life, as have many of the staff who work here. Just have a friendly chat with them and you'll find out everything you need to know about what to do in the local area.
positive:
Clean and tidy rooms with plenty of space.
The rooms here are modestly furnished and decorated, but they are very spacious and all the furniture is in good condition. Housekeeping also do a great job of keeping the rooms spotless.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rooms are right above a busy pub.
When you arrive at this inn you'll be greeted with a local pub downstairs, which is not for the exclusive use of you and other guests. With sports on the TV, fruit machines and a juke box, it can get pretty busy and loud, so don't expect a quiet early night.
negative:
The food served here isn't top quality.
What is on offer to eat at this establishment is essentially pub grub, choices like a steak and onion baguette or gammon, egg and chips are the mainstay. Look elsewhere in Tintagel for more inventive dining options.
negative:
Hard to stay connected to the free Wi-Fi provided.
The Wi-Fi connection at King Arthur's Arms Inn is a tad unstable, and you may find it keeps dropping out on you. Trying to stream a video can become very frustrating, but for checking emails it just about copes.
