The Balincourt is positioned close to a busy road, so you may experience some intrusive sounds from the fairly heavy traffic.

While the hotel's décor is in keeping with the historic building in which it is set, it does still feel a little dated in places. A little spruce up wouldn't go amiss.

Some of the en suite bathrooms are very much on the small side. There isn't a huge amount of room to dry yourself. Also, the water pressure in the showers is rather poor and you might find yourself waiting a long time for the hot water to come through.
