positive:
A hidden gem.
Guests were blown away by the elegant Abbots Grange, and most found that their expectations were surpassed. Two major highlights for guests were the incredibly comfortable canopy beds with Egyptian cotton sheets, and the gracious host. Visitors were made to feel at home, and loved the relaxed vibe of their stately accommodation.
positive:
Oozing with charm and history.
As you can expect from a bed and breakfast with over 700 years of history, Abbots Grange has a feeling not easily found in other hotels. Guests were reminded of this during a recent archaeological excavation that uncovered several important artifacts. From the sheep calling in the meadow at dusk, to a room with windows on three sides, the little things also contributed to the realisation that guests had come across something special.
positive:
Top notch communal eating.
Breakfast is served in a great hall, and many guests enjoyed sitting at a large table with others from around the world. With four rooms in total, it was possible to have intimate conversations with fellow travellers. Not only was the conversation great, but the breakfast might have been even better, according to guests. A cooked to order hot meal was found to be expertly prepared. Further opportunities to mingle with other guests were had during the complimentary nightcap by the fire, and at afternoon tea.
