Terrific views over the lake
Grand Dino is situated right on Lake Maggiore, and of course many of the public areas and rooms have direct views. Guests mentioned that those views were simply to die for, and many felt quite content to do no more than gaze out across the lake.

Spacious and very comfortable rooms
Guests had a pretty much universal positive opinion regarding their rooms. They were said to have the luxury of extra space and also live up to the name of the hotel by being grand and luxurious.

Very nice pool area
The pool and the surrounding terraces were perhaps guest's favourite part of the hotel. They described the pool as a decent size and the views over the gardens and lake from the terraces as sublime.

Walls blocking the mountain view
While this certainly doesn't apply to all rooms, a few guests mentioned that their “mountain view” room looked out onto a very high wall, with the actual mountains just peeking out over the top. They were not impressed, to say the least, and felt that the room was being sold as something that it was most certainly not.

Paid Wi-Fi
A couple of guests mentioned that they were not impressed with the hotels policy to charge for Wi-Fi. Considering the central role connectivity plays in people's lives today they felt it should have been included in the room rate.

Breakfast exceptionally expensive
While guests certainly realised they were in a luxury hotel, they felt that this fact was no excuse for it to overcharge on additional extras, which is what many believed they did with respect to the breakfast. It was not that they regarded the quality as poor, they generally enjoyed the food, but felt it was significantly overpriced.
